What type of accounts can I invest through? There are several options for types of entities/accounts you can use when investing in our funds. You can invest as an Individual, Jointly, through an LLC (Limited Liability Company), Corporation, Partnership, Retirement Plan/401K, or a Trust.

Can I Invest Through My IRA? If you have an existing IRA or a 401K from a previous employer, you may be able to self-direct all or a portion of it into our investment vehicles. To determine this, check with your current custodian to see if they permit self-directed retirement accounts. If they do, please contact our investor relations team by emailing invest@ewicap.com, calling us at 301-761-2278, or texting us at 301-761-2278. We can then introduce you to one of the custodians we work with who allow investments in alternative assets using retirement funds.

What Type of Tax Documents Will I Receive? If you invest in our accredited fund, you will receive a Form K-1. This tax form provides detailed information on your share of the partnership’s taxable income. Our goal is to finalize all Form K-1s annually by March 31st. However, since we rely on external reporting, additional time may be required to ensure the forms are accurate and beneficial to investors. You may need to obtain one or more extensions for filing federal, state, and local tax returns, although this is not our intention.

Can I Invest if I Live in Another Country? Yes, you can invest in our accredited fund if you live in another country. Depending on how you structure your investment, different documents may be required. We have many international investors in our fund. Please note that for our accredited fund, only accredited investors can participate.

How Long is the Term of the Investment Vehicles? The term of our investment vehicles is generally 10 years. However, we have the sole discretion to extend or shorten the duration after you have invested. This flexibility allows us to maximize the value of our real estate investments. We aim to avoid selling assets during unfavorable market conditions and to take advantage of opportunities to sell when the market is strong. As long-term investors, we believe that staying invested in a property over an extended period increases our chances of capturing property appreciation from inflation and rising rents.

Is There Risk Involved? Yes, all investments involve risk, including those in East West Investment Capital's accredited funds. We do not guarantee that you will achieve our targeted returns. Various factors, many beyond our control, can impact the performance of your investment. Please remember that investing involves risk and may result in partial or total loss of your investment. Prospective investors should carefully consider investment objectives, risks, charges, and expenses, and consult with a tax or legal adviser before making any investment decision. We believe that investing in private real estate poses less risk than many other types of investments. Historically, private real estate has been less volatile than the stock market, and properties generally appreciate over time as inflation tends to drive rents higher. Additionally, we conduct extensive research and due diligence on every property investment, ensuring that our risk is balanced with our targeted returns. Our founder is the single-largest investor across our entire portfolio, demonstrating his personal belief in the potential returns of each investment. Over his real estate career spanning more than three decades, he has never lost money on a multifamily real estate investment.

What type of investment returns should I expect? Our targeted returns are just that, targets. Investment involves risk and our actual returns may be higher or lower and may include a partial or total loss of your investment.

What types of fees do you charge? We do not charge miscellaneous fees, such as fees for processing and storing your investment information. We also do not ask you to pay fees or commissions to middlemen or stockbrokers to invest in our funds.
